Welcome to My Professional Portfolio

My name is Amira Zenisek, and I am an early childhood education student and educator who is deeply passionate about supporting young children during the most important and formative years of their lives. I currently work in a pre-K classroom, where I have the privilege of watching children learn, grow, and discover new things every single day.

To me, early childhood education is more than a career—it is a calling rooted in purpose, patience, and care. I believe that children are truly gifts from God, entrusted to us with incredible value and potential. Each child brings their own unique personality, curiosity, and way of seeing the world, and it is an honor to be part of their early learning journey. As Psalm 127:3 reminds us, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.” This truth shapes the way I approach my role as an educator, with gratitude and responsibility.

This portfolio is a reflection of my growth, learning, and experiences throughout my journey in early childhood education. It highlights my commitment to creating safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environments where all children feel seen, supported, and encouraged to explore. Each section represents my understanding of how young children learn best through play, relationships, and meaningful, hands-on experiences.

Throughout my studies and classroom experiences, I have continued to grow in my ability to be intentional, reflective, and responsive as an educator. I strive to meet each child where they are developmentally and support them as they build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love for learning.
